About

My name is Jeremy D Moore and I am currently a graduate student at the University of North Texas working on my MFA in Photography and MA in Art History. My wife and I belong to two ferrets and one crazy lab mix.

Originally I had a photoblog at the url which is now my portfolio site (jeremydmoore.com), but realized that I had reached the point where I should have a formal portfolio site to which I could refer people. In the end, though, I decided that I really enjoy the photoblog experience as it provides an entirely different and fluid structure compared to the more traditional portfolio website. This photoblog therefore serves as a photographic sandbox where I can play, be it with grains of silver or pixels.

This iteration of anonymous vernacular, AV2.0 as it were, was sparked by the dying of my pixelpost database and the movement further up the sheet film ladder with an 11×14 camera. As I begin my journey into ULF (that’s Ultra-Large Format for the uninitiated–I hope we get decoder rings!) I will keep this blog updated with the various trials and tribulations in addition to photographs I’m working on and whatever else I have on my mind. I figure this is my little corner of the internet and I’ll do as I wish… mine!
